Privacy Policy

The short version: No account. No tracking. No ads.
Your photos and pixel pets live on your device. When you tap Create My Pet, your photo is sent to Google Gemini through our secure proxy so we can generate the pixel art, then returned to your phone. Nothing about you is stored on our servers.
What leaves your device
- The pet photo you choose, once per generation, sent to the Google Gemini image model via a Cloudflare Worker proxy hosted by Petwidge.
- The proxy exists so that our Gemini API key stays private. The proxy does not log, retain, or analyze your photos beyond what is required to forward the single request and return the response.
What stays on your device
- Your saved pixel pets, their names, and your widget configuration — all in local app storage and your iOS App Group.
- Nothing syncs to a Petwidge server. If you delete the app, the local data is gone.
AI-generated content
Pixel pets are generated by Google Gemini, an AI image model. They are machine-generated interpretations based on your input photo. They are not guaranteed to be pixel-perfect likenesses of your actual pet.
Third-party services
- Google Gemini — processes your uploaded photo to generate pixel art. Governed by Google's privacy terms.
- Cloudflare Workers — hosts the proxy that forwards the generation request to Gemini.
- Apple — standard iOS platform services for widgets, Dynamic Island, and Live Activities.
Accounts, analytics, and ads
Petwidge 1.0 has no user accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising SDKs. We do not know who you are.
Children's privacy
Petwidge is rated 4+, but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Skip uploading a photo — the app still runs, you just don't generate a new pet.
- Delete individual pets inside the app, or delete the app entirely to wipe all local data.
- Request deletion of anything on our side by emailing the address below. Petwidge 1.0 does not retain user data server-side, so there is typically nothing to delete — we will confirm either way.
